Music on Repeat - March

Have you ever been asked the question "Would you rather go blind or deaf?" (if you know me personally, I have most likely asked you this question because the answers I get interest the hell out of me). Anyways, if you have never been asked that question, think about it right now and honestly, leave it below because I am always super curious on this topic.

Normally people say deaf without hesitation because who wouldn't want to be able to see life around you? Being blind would cause you to miss out on some of life's greatest gifts. So normally its a no brainer.

I have asked/been asked this question so many times that my answer has changed because of the amount of times I've thought about it. I decided I would rather be blind.

The reason behind that is music.

Some people like music and some people love music but I live for music. There aren't that many words that can describe the astronomical impact music has had on my life.

The feeling of losing myself in a really good song is just something I do not want to live without.

Okay now after that ramble lemme tell you what I have been losing myself in this month.

I am going to do this every month because I find/rediscover so many new songs a month that it would be selfish to not share them all. Some are old, some are new but they are all jams in my book.

505 - Arctic Monkeys

This song is a classic and every time I listen to it my heads starts to sway back and fourth without even realizing it lol. I love how it builds up and only gets better from the start.

Options - Hippie Sabotage

My friend Zach (shoutout to you Zach if you are reading this) had a playlist on his Spotify titled "Creamy" and if that isn't the damn best word to describe music that I have ever heard then idk what it is. This song is the definition of creamy and I just can't get enough of it.

Little Lies - Fleetwood Mac

This song really never gets old to me which is weird because most songs do. If you have never heard it I will assume you have actually been living under a rock. Download it after this because I promise it will put you in the BEST mood.

Love My Way - The Psychedelic Furs

Completely re-fell in love with this song because of Call Me By Your Name (which by the way is an absolutely INCREDIBLE film and if you haven't seen it what are you doing). I remember hearing it as a kid because my parents have a bomb taste in music and when I heard it in this movie it brought back so many good memories. Anyway this song makes me smile ear to ear and immediately want to get up and dance. Love love love.

Midnight - Logic

Bobby Tarantino II exceed all my expectations and somehow is almost just as good as Bobby Tarantino which I thought was impossible. This song FLOWSSSS. It seems as if there are almost two parts to it and it makes listening to this song an experience. I love how the cover of the album is him and his wife instead of just him like the first one but I was recently informed they are getting divorced and now I officially do not believe in love.

Bleach - BROCKHAMPTON

My friends and I were walking around Grant Park and blasting this song on my speaker and it was honestly the perfect vibe. Very creamy song (thx Zach) and even if you aren't the biggest BROCKHAMPTON fan (which idk why you wouldn't be) you would still loveeee this song.

Let it Happen (Soulwax Remix) - Tame Impala

I don't normally condone extremely long songs besides American Pie, Stariway to Heaven etc. but this 10 minute song is so good you won't even realize the longevity. I love the original song but something about this one gives me chills.

They wait the perfect amount of time for the beat drop and since it is so long, you really get to LIVE through the entire song if you know what I mean. The beat in this song makes you feel some type of way that I am not able to describe. Check it out, I promise you will love it.

Under Ground Kings - Drake

I have always been a huge fan of Drake but this song goes so harddddd. Love the flow of the first verse and the meaning behind the song. If you have never heard it byeeeee go listen.

I can't Go On Without You - Kaleo

Okay let me just rant about Kaleo real quick. This song is one of my favorites but I would cut off my most loved limb (left leg don't ask why) to go see these guys live. Such a unique and raw sound to them and they are honestly like nothing I have ever heard before. If you have never heard of these guys, go download the entire A/B album because every song is a jam. Thank me later.

Lose It - SWMRS

I think I like this song so much because of the story it tells. Basically about a boy who is sad about a breakup because his girlfriend had such a good taste in music and he is pissed he doesn't get to listen to it anymore lol. Its a softer song but still has a good beat and I am a sucker for a good whistle in a song.

YouTh - Glass Animals

If you like Glass Animals and only want to listen to a few of these songs, listen to this one. I don't have a single favorite song but anytime anyone asks me if I have a fav, this song always comes to mind. You can laugh to this song, you can cry, you can dance it really is the best. There aren't a lot of words that are able to describe my love for this song. The lyrics and meaning behind it really hit home for me. So whether you like alternative music or not, go listen to this. It will immediately increase your mood.

Gold - Win and Woo (ft. Shaylen)

Recently got to see these guys live because my friend Andrew is the plugggg but you can't not dance to this song.. its nearly impossible. Its under the category "Dance" on Apple Music so if that doesn't support my point then idk. If you listen to this song and don't start AT LEAST bopping your head let me know because I'm honestly curious.

See Me Now - Kanye ft. Beyonce, Charlie Wilson & Big Sean

Okay last one but if you wanna jam in the car, or be put in a good mood before going out, put this on. Also a great shower song. Does anyone else have songs that sound better in the shower? No? Just me? Okay cool. And could you find better artists to all be on one song together?? The answer is no. Make sure you listen to the end to hear my man Big Seans part because its the best.
